In the summer of 2006 I was lucky enough to receive a grant from SIUE and was able to travel to Tlaxiaco, Mexico with textile and ceramics students and my professor, Paul Dresang. During the three week stay we worked daily with indigenous potters and weavers. This experience was both beautiful and unforgettable. These images attempt to account for the vibrant colors and layers of time that this culture has to offer.
